Irene Mary Cyopik (nee Faragalli)

Passed away at her residence in Fonthill suddenly on Friday June 7, 2019 in her 98th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Charlie (1989) and her middle child Gloria Lavoie (2009). Loving mother of Santa Cyopik (George Bachmann) and Charlie Cyopik (Linda). Cherished grandmother of Darcy Reitenbach (Ray) and great grandmother of Kieffer Reitenbach. She will be deeply missed by her siblings Domenic, Rose and Dora. Predeceased by her brothers Peter, Tony and Tom, and by her sisters Mary, Lily and Grace.

Blessed with a green thumb, Irene loved working in her garden. She would often supply home grown veggies to the whole neighborhood. Her flower gardens on Quaker Road were always a joy to behold. She was an avid bowler for almost 60 years, winning many league championships. One of her other many hobbies was playing cards with her family and friends throughout town.

In keeping with Irene's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held.
The Celebration of Life in memory of Irene will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Irene may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice.

Dear Irene, my neighbour, a kinder person I've never met. I learned too late not to admire any of her possessions or she'd arrive at my door ... "For you" she would say and then walk away. I'll treasure it forever. Nan Rilstone

I remember walking from my folks to aunt Irene’s, to visit with Darcy, and also to play cards. My nieces also enjoyed visiting her. We miss you already. Love: Rocky, Judy, Ciara and Jessica Cyopick.
