ROACH, Linda Elizabeth (nee Shapland) - Passed away peacefully at the Hotel Dieu Shaver on Sunday September 8, 2019 at the Age of 73. Predeceased by her parents Ida and Kenneth Shapland. Loving sister of Richard Shapland (Sandi) and Ronald Shapland. Dear aunt of Bradley (Nicole), Jeffrey (Dawn) and Daniel. Great aunt of Liam, Jonah, Claire, Sam and Charlie.

Linda was a very active Fonthill Lioness who served her community for more than 13 years. When she was not helping the Lioness or the Lions she could be found volunteering at Pelham Cares. It is thanks to Linda that this community has so many photos of events, as she was always the face behind the camera. Linda's kindness, caring and giving of her time will never be forgotten.

A Lioness Service will be held on Friday, September 20th at 7pm at the Fonthill Lions Club. The memorial service to honour Linda's life will take place at the PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill on Saturday, September 21st at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:30 to 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery on a later date. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to Pelham Cares or the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides. Online condolences may be placed at

I feel honoured to have known Linda, she was the most generous, kindest person I met. Linda trained me at Pelham Cares, and I took over her food section. My thoughts and prayers to the family. May she rest in peace.
